An Award Nomination for Your Cartoonist
Happy Monday!
Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that my work on Bizarro was nominated for a National Cartoonists Society Reuben Award in the Newspaper Panels division.
My fellow nominees are respected colleagues Dave Blazek and Nick Galifianakis, and I’m honored to be named alongside these two excellent cartoonists.
NCS members will vote this week, and the awards will be presented in San Diego in August.
Thanks to the readers who helped me choose which cartoons to submit by suggesting your favorite Bizarro panels of 2023. I’d looked at them so many times, that it was difficult to evaluate them on my own.
Thank you for your continued support, encouragement, readership, comments, questions, and pipe pics. It would be great to take home the Reuben, but I’m rewarded and honored every day by being connected to our community of Jazz Pickles.
