Greetings from sunny Hollywood Gardens, PA.
Today’s blog post includes a trio of Easter-themed cartoons and the usual commentary.
I’ve just finished another week of drawings. This batch features baby birds, vampires, rock musicians, tennis balls, and cute little monkeys.
Looking Ahead & Looking Back
Bizarro‘s official heavy metal group, Iron Bunnies of Doom will return in May.
Our throwback art is a sketchbook page based on a magazine ad for Barilla pasta featuring television chef Giada di Laurentiis, who seemed to have more than the usual allotment of human teeth.
Automotive Amusement
A friend texted me this photo the other day, wondering who would order this unusual vanity plate.
I’m guessing it's a proud resident of Pennsylvania ZIP Code 15695.

John F. Kelly is a knowledgeable comics historian who’s written for The Comics Journal and other fine publications for over thirty years. I’ve been awaiting his recently launched magazine, dummy, and it’s even better than I’d expected. The first issue features the artists and designers responsible for the look of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and its related projects, with tons of behind-the-scenes art and interviews.
Each issue will examine a particular topic of interest, covered in depth by Mr. Kelly. The second issue will be dedicated to the infamous Air Pirates Funnies and other comical rodents.
They also sell t-shirts, pint glasses, and other cool products authorized by and directly benefitting comics artists.
I can’t recommend it highly enough. This is my favorite magazine in many years.

Ms di Laurentiis should have been making pasta pizza on Pi Day!
A zip code resident, or ... maybe just someone spell/saying hi.
