Greetings from your woozy cartoonist.
I’m currently dealing with a nasty virus. Thankfully it isn’t COVID, but it’s kept me away from the studio for a couple of days. Fortunately our feline family member has remained by my side, making sure I get plenty of rest.
I’m writing and posting this newsletter from my phone. It’s the first time I’ve done it this way, so please excuse any boo-boos.
Luckily I wrote and scheduled the blog entry before the bug hit me.
The latest work to occupy my drawing board involved fairy tale characters, insects, amateur musicians, an extraterrestrial, a goblin, and some well-known statues.
Looking Ahead & Looking Back
Look for the Bizarro version of Cinderella in May.
Our vintage work is a three-page “Scottie’s Bar” story from a promotional minicomic issued by Tundra in 1990. Tundra was a short-lived publisher founded by Kevin Eastman, a co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They published all three issues of my solo comic book Beer Nutz, which are readily and cheaply available on eBay.
That’s all from me for this week. The cat is telling me it’s time for a nap.
Best wishes from your cartoonist,
Wayno
Feel better soon!
Sorry about the virus, Wayno. I hope you feel better soon!
